In our pursuit to spread awareness & advocate for Perri, We’ve launched, Pennies for Perri, an annual fundraising event that happens on or near Rare Disease Day, which is last day of February. In doing so, 100% of the money raised at Pennies for Perri will be donated to the Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society, an official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is very close to our hearts.
Chromosome 18 Society is incredibly important to my family since they are the ONLY organization in the world that supports individuals affected by chromosome 18 conditions, including, Perri, who was diagnosed with Distal 18 q- & Trisomy 18p and, as a result, total hearing loss, among other unique complications. The Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society have positively impacted our family, and with Pennies for Perri, our mission is to make sure that they are able to continue helping families like ours.
Every year we ask businesses that we admire to donate items for the raffle at our Pennies for Perri fundraising event. By doing so, we can make a HUGE difference for children and families effected by chromosome 18 conditions. - 10,000 buys one comprehensive clinical evaluation
- $100,000 buys 1 mouse model project
