The Poggios

We, Jesse and Jan, are the proud parents of our adventurous son, Jack, and our courageous daughter, Perri, who was diagnosed at just 9 weeks old with incredibly rare genetic anomalies.

Both born and raised in sunny South Orange County, California, we still call it home today. We met in high school, and it was love at first sight. Fast forward 20 years, we’ve planted our roots in Laguna Hills and are raising our two kids in the same community where we were lucky enough to grow up.

Jan studied at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, and has devoted her life and career to helping others. She is currently a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Kaiser Permanente, Orange County.

Jesse studied at the equally prestigious California State University, Long Beach, and works as the Business Development Manager for a lighting technology company based in Irvine, CA.

In between juggling doctors, therapies, phone calls, and paperwork, you’ll find us soaking up the sun at the beach, chasing Jack & Perri on daily park adventures, navigating preschool & kindergarten drop-off and pick-up lanes, sharing the magic of Disneyland with Jack and Perri, and—most importantly—letting our kids simply be kids while creating memories and instilling the importance of family.

Our “new normal” isn’t quite what we envisioned, and the journey ahead is unknown, but Perri, and Jack, have flipped the script on what we thought was important, teaching us what is truly meaningful in life.
